Jailer Ron Herrington retired in 1997 after honorably serving 27 years in the United States Army. During his tenure in the Army, Jailer Herrington specialized in corrections, investigations, leading, training, and mentoring men and women. Jailer Herrington honorably served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Army Commendation Medal for Valor. After his retirement Ron Herrington began his career at the Henderson County Detention Center working for Jailer Miles Hart as the Chief Deputy of Administration. At this position Ron Herrington ran the day to day operations for eight years. In August 2005 Jailer Miles Hart retired and Ron Herrington was appointed Jailer by the members of the Fiscal Court in Henderson County. Jailer Herrington is now entering his second term where he ran unopposed during this current election. |
